The change methodology has shifted from the philosophy of managing and controlling change to promoting receptivity and supporting teams to create sustainable change across the organisation. In this session, you will take away the benefits of moving to this mindset and learn how to influence others to do the same.

  • Understanding change as a constant state for all organisations
  • Challenges with the old ways of managing change – as an event and as a linear process
  • A new change model built for the future 

Activity: Design a new change model 

Module 2: Creating Receptivity and Supporting the Team

  • The role communication plays in ‘selling’ or creating receptivity for change
  • The role of leaders: Supporting individuals and teams through change

Activity: Build a change map and communications plan

Module 3: Storytelling as a Core Communication Skill

  • Simple storytelling techniques
  • Creating an example
  • Dealing with resistance
  • Dealing with lack of engagement

Group Activity: Practice story telling

Module 4: Measuring and Sustaining Change

  • The role of measurement in sustainable change
  • Setting measurements in place
  • Measuring longitudinally to ensure the business benefits are clear

Case Study: Analysing sustainable change in a large complex organisation
