Of all the core people processes, performance management is the most maligned and undervalued. Managing, inspiring and guiding contribution from your people is highly fundamental to creating a great culture. In this session, you will understand the importance of effective performance management to both individuals and organisations, and how to apply this to different individuals and teams.

  • What is performance management, and why it matters more than ever
  • Different ways to design and measure goals, contribution and performance
  • Different ways to design and measure behavioural impact on others and teams
  • The impact of process on conversations and relationships

Group Activity: Using simple performance management processes and how they drive great conversations. Group activity of using the simple process on self

Module 2: Managing Difference

  • Looking at diverse individuals
  • Looking at diverse teams
  • Looking at hybrid teams e.g. teams that work differently – remote and in-office, geographically dispersed, or different skill sets and capabilities

Group Activity: Using identity maps to understand individuals and teams

Module 3: Managing Poor Performance or Behaviour in Large-Scale Organisations

  • The role of metrics in scale organisations
  • Resetting standards in performance and behavior – at scale

Group Discussion: Simple performance management that works at individual, team and organisational levels

Module 4: Stepping up from Good to Great – One Conversation at a Time
