Day 1:

Session 1: Inputs into the Shutdown: In the first section we examine what has to be present organizationally, software support, long term training. It concludes with a comprehensive checklist to be sure nothing is forgotten and falls through the cracks.

Session 2: Shutdown Phases: Learn how to justify the shutdown, create timelines and produce audits.

Session 3: Scope of Work -Planning Section: Look at risks and hazards, define the scope of work and prepare for planning


Day 2:

Session 1: Project Management Techniques: This section goes over CPM and PERT Methods of management (a prior knowledge in Project Management is helpful but not necessary)

Session 2: Shutdown Essentials: Since the planning and scheduling are so essential for a successful shutdown the biggest and most complete checklist is on that topic. In addition, this section gives tips and tricks for the execution phase of the event.

Session 3: Execution of the Shutdown: This section provides you the insights on Insure Quality (hold points and shift schedules), shutdown the plant and start-up the plant, daily schedule and feedback, shutdown review meeting agenda. project leader failure techniques exercises, daily routine, accounting costs and budget.
